Alkyds (Medium Oil Benzoic Modified Chain Stopped)

Monopentaerythritol/258 g
Benzoic Acid/157 g
Xylene/80 g
Phthalic Anhydride/286 g
"Acintol" FA-2/299 g

配制方法:

Charge the benzoic acid, xylene, monopentaerythritol, 150 g of "Acintol" FA-2* and 248 g of phthalic anhydride* to a 21-flask and heat to 235 C. Maintain this temperature until the acid number is less than 5 mg KOH/g and then add the remaining "Acintol" FA-2 and phthalic anhydride. Heat to 235 C and maintain at this temperature until the acid number is less than 15 mg KOH/g. Dissolve the alkyd in xylene to give a solution having 50 wt. percent solids.
