To produce the pigment suspension, water is measured out and the solids are added and stirred in. Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (e.g., "Methocel" E5) is dissolved in water beforehand to produce a 10% solution and is then added, followed by the polyethylene glycol 6000 as a 33% aqueous solution. Next the whole pigment suspension is finely dispersed, using a suitable dispersion system (toothed colloid mills, corundum disc mills, ball mills), and is poured into the diluted "Eudragit" E 30 d dispersion, but only immediately prior to use. The mixture should be processed within one to two days.
