配方说明:

Ointment Base (Polyethylene Glycol Ointment USP XV) (No.1)

配方组成:

Aqueous Solutions (max 3%)
Warm the ingredients together on a water bath to 167'F (75'C),
remove heat, stir and cool rapidly until congealed.
The base is homogeneous, white, semi-solid, and similar to petrolatum in
consistency, and is completely water-soluble. The consistency of the
base can be changed by altering the ratio of liquid and solid
polyethylene glycols. When solid medicaments are added, more of
"Carbowax" polyethylene glycol 400 may be needed; with liquid
medicaments, more of "Carbowax" polyethylene glycol 4000 should be used.
Stability tests at 104'F (40'C) for six weeks indicate that this base is
a satisfactory vehicle for the following therapeutic agents

Mercuric oxide
Ichthammol
boric acid
Tannic acid
Balsam Peru
Benzocaine
"Carbowax" Polyethylene Glycol 4000/40-50
Sulfur
Ammoniated Mercury
Benzalkonium chloride, dissolved in 1 cc of wat

配制方法:

Sulfa drugs are compatible with this base, but a yellow color frequently develops. Agar cup tests show that this discoloration does not in any way impair the antibacterial action of the ointments.
