It is recommended that these concentrates are packed in glass, aluminum, or steel coated with a high-baked phenolic lacquer. Formulae 1 to 3 are solubilized chlordane concentrates which yield dispersions of at least 2 months' stability in hard or soft water. Formula 1 gives the clearest dispersions; formula 3 gives opaque dispersions. formula 4 was suggested by the United States Department of Agriculture and is considered by them to have excellent emulsifying properties. For emulsions which have a stability of over 3 days, formulae 5 to 7 are recommended. formulae 8 to 11 give emulsions which break in 8 hours to 3 days.
