Nongreasy cream bases can be made very simply from selfemulsifying
glyceryl monostearate which contains soap as the emulsifier. As some
medicaments are not compatible with soap, it is advisable to include in
the formula either bentonite or cetyl alcohol to stabilize the emulsion
