results obtained to date show that this type of putty has excellent storage properties, showing no tendency to separation of oil. Skinning is also less pronounced. Outside results show that when used on wooden frames the putty does not harden and become brittle as quickly as linseed oil putty and has good adhesion. Steel sash putties can also be made by using a little more kaolin. This putty gives added anti-corrosive protection to steel due to the lanolin content.
