The polyvinyl chloride, the vinylidene chloride, and "Stabilizer A-5" are added to the dioctyl phthalate under agitation. The "Neville" LX-685, 180 previously powdered, is added last. The entire mixture is then passed through a threeroll paint mill twice. At this point after the grinding operation, the LX-685, 180 is a finely dispersed powder in the mixture and remains stable for hours. After sitting overnight, the mixture should be agitated a little before use. When mixed with granulated cork, the mixture is molded under low compression at 330'F, and the resulting product is flexible and tough.
