On the weight of the grease, 1 to 10% of 130-volume hydrogen peroxide is added to the cold wool grease and well stirred. The temperature may be increased and stirring continued until satisfactory bleaching has been obtained. Water, the only by-product, is removed by evaporation at atmospheric pressure (212'F) or under vacuum in order to keep the temperature lower.
