The density of "PAPI" foams can be greatly reduced and strengths useful for many purposes will still be retained. The relationship of strength-to-density is shown above when no reinforcing resin is incorporated. The density can be varied from 10 pcf to 1.0 pcf by increasing the Fluorocarbon 11 from 8 to 100 parts to hundred of resin. The dimensional stability at low temperatures will be improved when frothed foam procedures are used and substantial proportions of lower boiling Fluorocarbon 12 are present in the individual cells of the foam.
