Heat solvent to 180'F and add molten waxes. Cool with stirring and pour into containers between 100'F and 140'F. Caution: do not stir rapidly when mixture approaches pouring temperatures. Rapid agitation will adversely affect the formation of crystals and may cause separation of solvent. P-20 and P-25 have excellent solvent-binding properties and if the polish is compounded properly, there should be less than 5% of free solvent. P-20 and P-25 have very similar properties, but P-25 is recommended when a viscous gel is desired. The formulas given contain 11% solids and have a good cleaning action during application. The finished wax film is free from tack and buffs readily to a high gloss. The hardness of the film can be regulated by varying the ratio of synthetic wax to paraffin.
