Increasing the amount of Dow Latex 529-K (styrene/butadiene latex) further softens the box toe. Ultimate hardness and stiffness is attained after solvent activation and after the solvent has been driven off. Solvents used have been toluene, perchloroethylene, Chlorothene, etc. Of course, heat forming without solvent activation is possible.
