The technique of mixing is that of going through the high shear process by the hard ball or lump method. (1) the "drys", or Group #1, ae mixed thoroughly in the dry state. (2) The drys are wetted by adding all of Group #2 and mixed for 5 min. (The drys will be wetted but will seem dry). (3) Group #3 is added and stirred for 5 minutes. The mix will still seem dry or very slightly damp but should be "fluffy" in either case. (4) Group #4, or Benzoflex 9-88, is next added by adding about 80% of the required amount (more or less) to effect the high shear mixing. (5) Mix at high shear until breakdown. If the mix does not break down in 10-15 min, add 1% at a time more of the remaining Benzoflex 9-88 until breakdown occurs. (6) Immediately after breakdown, add the rest of the Benzoflex 9-88 and stir for 1/2 hr. Do not let the temperature rise above 110'F. Stop or stir at a slower speed to keep the temperature under 110'F. (7) Add Group #5, the Mineral Spirits, and stir for 5 mi
