After having been pre-dried in the wrinkled-padded state, the goods are cured 90 sec at 150'C with framing to about minus 1 in. per foot of cloth width and up to 20% overfeed. When pre-drying resin treated cotton in the wrinkled state, the creased sections may retain more moisture than the smooth areas. This can lead to the moist sections running a little cooler during setting thus introducing an additional inequality in appearance, especially after washing. To impart the wrinkled look to 100% polyester double knits, the fabric was heatset at 194'C with about 40% overfeed and with the width set 1/2 in. narrower per foot cloth width. Blends, as would be expected, can be handled with normal temperature heat setting and/or resin applications using narrow width pinning and overfeed as above.
