In the production of porcelain-enamelled metal objects, the first step is the coating of the metal with an aqueous dispersion of frit (fine glass granules). The object is then fired to fuse the glass granules into a continuous film. Small quantities of Ethomeen S/15 prevent settling out of the frit dispersion, reducing the amount of dispersion which fails to adhere to metallic surfaces. A suggested formula is Barium Chloride/0.1-0.2 Water/40 "Ethomeen" S/15/0.05-0.2
