Mix 50.0 parts by weight of the "Wytox" X-540 with 2.34 pt. of oleic acid and heat to 120'F. Slowly pour the "Wytox" mixture into a dilute caustic solution made by dissolving 0.62 pt by weight of sodium hydroxide in 192.5 pt of demineralized water while stirring in a Waring Blender or with a Lightnin Mixer. Continue to stir a few minutes after all the oil phase has been charged to obtain complete emulsification. Adjust the emulsion pH to between 11 and 12 with a sodium hydroxide solution to insure maximum stability.
