The recommended minimum dry polymer pickup for this assembly is
65-70%.
Preliminary seal coating with a continuous film layer on the backside of
the flannel serves as a barrier that prevents polymer strike through to
the front side of the flannel when the polyurethane foam and the flannel
are laminated.
Prepare a solution of "Carbopol" 934 Resin dispersed at 5% by weight in
water. Neutralize the acid "Carbopol" resin with ammonium hydroxide to
develop a thickened mucilage. Stir "Hycar" 2671 into the mucilage.
Thicken the compound by further neutralization with 10% ammonium
hydroxide.
Stretch the flannel cloth, with backside up, over a glass plate. Apply a
15-mil wet layer of the thickened latex over the entire area. Cure for
10 min at 250'F. Whip the remaining thickened latex in a Hobart mixer
equipped with a wire beater. After 5-8 min of high speed agitation, the
emulsion will expand to approximately 500% of original v

配制方法:

The finished glue is @ 13.5% solids and @ pH 10.8. A brief wet-in period of the dry powder in ambient water (3-5 min) in a well-agitated, low-shear mixing tank. An alkaline dispersing agent is then added and mixed for 5-10 min. Then a buffering agent is mixed in (5-10 min) and the glue is ready to use.
