Blend emulsifiers with the shortening in a planetary mixer for 5 min. Add corn syrup and mix for 5 min. Add blend of cocoa, sugar, and preservative, but do not mix. Disperse "Avicel" into boiling water with vigorous agitation and mix for 5 min. Add hot "Avicel" dispersion and mix for 15 min. Scrape sides of bowl during the mixing step. Temper icing (100'F) and fill into containers.
