Prepare the "Carboset" solution by combining the ingredients in the order listed. Combine the ingredients in the zinc complex in the order listed to form a clear, transparent solution. Combine the zinc complex with the resin solution with good agitation. Continue stirring until a clear solution results. Lastly, stir in the "Timica." Avoid high-shear dispersion or grinding because this will destroy the pearlescence. As a result, some pigment settling can be expected. Redispersion is easily effected by simple shaking, however, because of the dispersant effect of the "Carboset" resin. This lacquer should dry tack-free in about five minutes, but should be permitted to dry at least one-half hour before immersing fingernails in soapy water.
