Carefully disperse the "Carbopol" resin and then add the sodium hydroxide. Add the creosote in a slow stream while vigorously agitating the mix. Stir to uniformity. The resultant emulsion is ready for use. When applied to wood, such an emulsion wets the surface well and creosote penetration into the wood is excellent.
