Melt the wax and heat to 120'C. Stir, and add first the emulsifying agents followed by caustic potash. Continue stirring till foaming subsides, then add the boiling water and cool with moderate stirring. Add 3-5% of this 25% emulsion to the high quality finish. The emulsion is stable on storage and does not turn rancid. It is compatible with the usual resin solutions and metal salts.
