The resin is first dissolved in the solvent. Crushing the resin is recommended for increased speed and effectiveness. Mix thoroughly. With highspeed shear the oleic acid is introduced and allowed to completely saturate the resin solution. Add the TEA to the distilled water and mix until the solution clears. Maintaining constant shear, slowly add TEA/water solution to the resin solution. After inversion, TEA/water may be added rapidly and mixing speed reduced, if desired.
