For Formulas No.1-4 Place 75 liters or gallons of distilled water in a suitable tank. With constant stirring, slowly add the thiovanic acid or ammonium thioglycolate to the water. Slowly add the ammonia with stirring. Add a suitable clouding agent or wetting agent, such as 2% of "Emulsifier K-700." Add watersoluble perfume mixture, if desired. Add sufficient distilled or deionized water to make 100 l or 100 gallons of finished cold wave lotion. Before bottling, accurately check the finished cold wave lotion for pH and equivalent thioglycolic acid content to be certain the lotion meets the desired specifications.
