brookfield visc, 20 rpm-28,600 mPas or cP pH-6.2 ball mill the masterbatch util desired pigment fineness. carefully disperse the ball-milled masterbatch in the water in the proportion noted. note: the paint has excellent stability, and after it has dried it can be rewet and reworked. if the mastervatch is to be stored more than a few days, anhydrous sodium tetraborate must be used. hydrated borax will cause the mastebatch to ball up into a tough, rubbery mass. also pigments xontaining antimony oxide will react with "carbopol" resins and form an unusable, rubbery mass. use pigments that are relatively inert.
