配方说明:

soaps are made fron a fat or fatty acid and an alkali. they
lathetr and produce a foam which entraps dirt and grease. there are
many kinds of soaps.
cleaners contain a solvent, such as naphtha, with or without a soap.
abrasive cleaners are soap pastes containing powdered pumice, stone,
ailica, etc.

配方组成:

safrol/to suit
glycerin/2.4 oz
water/1.8 qt
borax/8.4 oz
dry sodum carbonate/3.0 oz
white soap chips/1.5 qt
mechanics' hand-soap paste
coarse pumice powder/2.2 lb

配制方法:

dissolve the soap in two-thirds of the water by heat. dissolve the lasdt three ingredints in the rest o the water. pour the two solutions together and stir well. when it behins tdo thicken, sift in the borax, stirring constantly till thick, tdhen pour into cans. vardy the amoundst of water, for heavier or softer paste. water cannot be added to the finished soap.
