Avoid open flames when mixing or using this formula. Dissolve nonionic NPX in the lowgravity "Carbitol" solvent, add the naphtha and isopropanol, and stir until completely mixed. From 0.25 to 0.5 of the naphtha may be replaced with carbon tetrachloride to give a faster drying solution and to reduce the fire hazard. Stains are removed by placing the soiled fabric on a folded, clean cloth (stain against cloth). Daub the stain with another cloth, a portion of which is saturated with the solution. continue daubing (not rubbing) with the solution until the stain is removed, moving the fabric at intervals so that it does not remain on the stained portion of the folded cloth. The cleaned area can be rinsed with straight naphtha or carbon tetrachloride, but it is not necessary.
