Add to ground wood pulp, at about 176'F. and 3% consistency, 0.1% of the trisodium salt of ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid followed by 1% of an aqueous solution of sodium hydrosulfite, by weight of the dry pulp.
During the additions, agitate the pulp vigorously.
