Titanium dioxide, whiting and various clays can be dispersed, using a similar formula, by ball milling 3 to 8 hours. The amount of sodium carboxymethylcellulose required will generaly be 3 to 8% of the solid content of the slurry. Where a low-viscosity dispersion is preferred, the following formula may be used:
