In the adhesive field, as in the case of many other industries, the latex or emulsion adhesive that can be thinned with water is rapidly gaining wide-spread recognition. The majority of these compounds are based on high molecular weight resins that have been polymerized in a water medium. Here, too, "Neville" Resins can be used to great advantage. Their inherent tackiness improves the initial adhesion and also aids in prolonging the tack life of the adhesive film. Their trial is strongly recommended to those who are actively engaged in or planning on producting latex adhesives. It is necessary that the highly hydrophobic "Neville" resins be emulsified or made water miscible so that they need only be stirred into the latex adhesive.
