Prepare a fresh blend of 3 parts Monateric CyNa-50 and 1 part Monateric CA-35. Add 3% of this blend to 72% water and 25% caustic flakes, allow to exotherm at 80 C and hold for 0.5 h, then cool to room temperature under agitation. Full gellation occurs in 8 h.
