The lactylate is dissolved in the water by heating, and the solution is adjusted to pH 6 with citric acid. The pigments are preblended and then dispersed in the lactylate solution. The stearates in Part C are melted together and added to hot water while stirring. Stirring is continued while cooling to 35 C. The pigment dispersion is then added to the emulsion (Part C) while continuing to stir. The product is a soft cream.
