Carefully disperse the "Carbopol" resin and then add the sodium hydroxide. Add the creosote in a slow stream while vigorously agitating the mix. Stir to uniformity. The resultant emulsion is ready for used. Note: When applied to wood, such an emulsion wets the surface well and creosote penetration into the wood is excellent.
