FORMULA No.3 Phenyldiethanolamine is very effective when used with sufficient ammonia to adjust the pH of the solution to 10.5 or higher. In the absence of ammonia, sufficient inorganic alkaline reagents must be added to adjust the pH to about 12.5 or higher.
