The glycerin is added to approximately 2 gal. water, then the phenothiazine and bentonite are mixed in by rapid stirring. After standing for 12 hours, the balance of the water is added, the mixture stirred rapidly, and the stirring continued while it is poured into containers. This smooth, homogeneous suspension contains approximately 12.5 g. of the drug (or a lamb dose) per fluid ounce; 2 fl. oz. make a sheep dose. The cattle dose is 5 fl. oz.
