To 324 g of water in one-quart blender is added 25.5 g of "Baymal" while stirring at slow speed. The mixture is then blended at high speed for 2 min. Then 25.5 g of wet ground mica is blended in. Separately, 7.5 g of Alkophos "C" (a 40% solution of acid aluminum phosphate) and 3 g of 85% phosphoric acid are mixed with water and diluted to a total volume of 125 ml. This then is added to the dispersion of "Baymal"-mica while blending at high speed. The phosphoric mixture tends to flocculate the alumina and should be added to the vortex of the rapidly stirred mixture to insure even distribution. the mixture thickens and is highly thixotropic but is of a paintable consistency after stirring or shaking. Bake at 200'C for 15 min.
