"Soluble" Mineral Oil

配方组成:

Potassium hydroxide solution of 45% strength/0.46
Weigh the Dresinate and petroleum sulfonate into a weighed beaker of
appropriate size. Add the coupling agent, water, and alkali as
indicated. Swirl the beaker briefly to dilute the alkali, then add the
mineral oil. Stir thoroughly, either with a spatula or with a mechanical
stirrer, using heat (90-110'F.) if necessary, it is essential that this
cloudy mixture now be made completely uniform. While stirring is
continued, drop in oleic acid from a buret. As the cloudy mixture
gradually begins to clear, the end point is being approached and
emulsifiability may be evaluated qualitatively by adding some of the
mixture dropwise to water in another beaker. If a drop spreads as an oil
film, more oleic acid is needed. If the drop becomes opaque and spreads
over the surface and into the water, the end point is near. To determine
the end point exactly, divide the entire product into four or five
aliqu
