A satisfactory electrode preparation for use in eletroencephalography may be prepared from a saturated solution of calcium chloride (540 ml) with glycerine (30 ml) and bentonite (908 gm).
Half the bentonite is sprinkled onto the surface of the other two ingredients and the mixture let stand overnight before mixing in the remainder to a dough-like consistency.
