The "parasept" preservatives are added to prevent starch spoilage and \Tergitol" NPX serves to wet the fabric. If foaming occurs during preparation or filling of the starch, 0.5 parts of "SAG 470" silicone antifoam may be added. Slurry starch and preservatives with one half of the water and heat slowly with moderate agitation to 85 to 90'C. Hold at this temperature for 15 min. Forcecool by adding remaining water and (if possible) use water jacket. After cooling, add "LE-463", "Tergitol" NPX, and perfume, with agitation.
