Sift the dry ingredients and mix with the water. Stir slowly into the boiling syrup. Cook until it thickens partly, then stir in: Whole Eggs 1 lb. Cut off the heat. Fill warm into unbaked shells and bake in a hot oven at 450'F. until the custard sets. It may be topped with whipped cream if desired. This will make ten 9-in. pies.
