The above compound can be either calendered or extruded. It is generally mixed in a highshear mixer, such as a Banbury, or one of the newer intensive mixers such as a Henschel or Papenmeier, before final processing. the liquid stabilizer, "Mark 462", can be blended with the other liquid ingredients, namely the DOP and "Drapex" 4.4, and added directly to the resin. In any case the stabilizer should be added to the resin/plasticizer mix before th e addition of the lubricant and Stearone, to insure adequate dispersion of the stabilizer.
