配制方法:

1) One pound of MCS* is charged into 8-qt. Patterson-Kelley twin-shell blender (model LB 2628).
2) Two pounds of DEG** are added through the intensifier bar over an 18-min period. The shell rotated at 60 r.p.m. during blending, while intensifier bar is rotated at 3000 r.p.m.
3) The walls of the blender are scraped.
4) The product is blended for 5 min more.
Final product is free-flowing.
Both blend and individual ingredients are dispersed in the polyester systems using a 1-qt. Waring blender (model D1003 base). For all preparations, the blender is run for 3 min at low speed. Where individual components are added separately, DEG is first stirred in manually.
Some of the polyesters contain undisclosed promoters added by the manufacturer. The unpromoted resins are tested both as-received and after promotion by adding cobalt naphthenate (6% active Co).. Promotion is achieved by adding 0.30 to 0.50% (wt.) of the cobalt solution in one shot with manual stirring into the polyester resin
