The glycerin is added to approximately 270 parts of the water and then the phenothiazine and bentonite are mixed in by rapid stirring; after standing for 12 hours, the balance of the water is added and the mixture stirred rapidly. Stirring is continued while it is poured into containers. This smooth homogeneous suspension contains 12.5 g. phenothiazine or a lamb dose per fluid ounce; 2 fl. oz. make a sheep dose. Another drench formula calls for mixing 400 lb. of phenothiazine with 400 lb. molasses and sufficient warm water to make 100 gal., representing 0.5 oz. phenothiazine per fluid ounce. Either drench may be administered with a dose syringe or from a bottle.
