Dissolve the sodium chloride in the water. Add to this the protein and the ethoxylated lanolin. (Heating may be desirable). then combine the amide with the hexylene glycol and add the triethanolamine lauryl sulfate. combine the water solution with the amide mixture and heat to approximately 140'F to effect solution. add the sarcosinate, sequestering agent, perfume, preservative, and color. This shampoo has the unique properties of being both inexpensive and very effective. On dilution, it produces a syrupy liquid that gives an excellent "hand" and has rich lather. The shampoo is substantive to the hair; definite improvement is noticed after use on bleached or damaged hair. After shampooing, the hair retains curl equal to or better than hair curled with setting lotion.
