After thawing fruit, drain well, add sufficient water to make a total of three quarts. Bring juice and spices to a full boil. Add starch and water slurry and continue cooking for a few minutes or until a temperature of about 195'F. has been reached. Add syrup and bring to a boil. Some sugar can be used to replace a portion of the corn syrup. Pour over drained fruit mix. Pour into containers to cool before using.
